Valentine's (or Galentine's!) Gift Guide

Valentine's (or Galentine's!) Gift Guide

Here we are again! It's February and word on the street is that most people aren't really sure what they're doing for Valentine's yet, so I wanted to pull my favorite date night inspo together! I'm thinking (and hoping!) that 2022 is the last year of "playing it safe" and opting for an at-home date night as opposed to hitting the town, so here are some tried and true favorites to help you plan a killer date night in. Hope you love it!

First up - set the mood! Wine and candles are always step one for date night. When it's still cold out, I always lean into a full bodied red wine, and Tall Dark Stranger Malbec is highly recommended by me! Bonus points: you can pick this up right at Target! More bonus points: if you're crafty, this bottle is great for an upcycle project! As far as candles, my signature scent is from Bath&Body Works: Blue Ocean Waves. Slightly softer than Mahogany Teakwood, this is a great dupe for Capri Blue (aka the Anthropologie candle).

For dinner, what better way to celebrate than cooking together? If you haven't already tried it, I'm a big big big fan of Hello Fresh.  We keep a box on hand most weeks because it's easy and fast! But that doesn't mean it can't make a good date night meal, too! Pick out something new on their menu, partner up with your S.O., and cook a meal together!

Next up, date night! Something so simple yet so much fun is wine and design at home. Grab a party table cloth and cover your table, grab some canvases, paintbrushes, and a set of acrylic paints at your local craft store, and let your creativity flow at home! Not sure what to paint? Use google images to get some "acrylic canvas painting" inspo and get to town. Something like flowers, fruit, trees, or a beach landscape are always great ideas for the novice painter (aka me! lol)

And my favorite part of this in home date night? GET COMFY! Focus on having fun together. Throw on a cute but casual outfit (we love this one!), add some fuzzy socks, and finish the night off with a spa treatment that you and your S.O. can both enjoy.

Whatever you do, I hope you have a great Valentine's Day! Enjoy!
